Preparing an EV for shipping is slightly different from preparing a gasoline vehicle.

Charge to about 50%: Don't ship with a fully charged battery (some recommend less for safety) or a near-empty battery (which could die during transit). 40-60% state of charge is ideal.
Disable sentry mode and dashcam features: These drain the 12V battery during transport. Tesla owners specifically should turn off Sentry Mode in the app.
Provide the access card or key fob: The driver needs to be able to put the vehicle in transport/tow mode for loading.
Note any transport-specific modes: Tesla has a Transport Mode. Rivian has a similar feature. Tell us if you've activated these.
