Step 2 · Day 1

Book Your Shipment

If the quote works for you, accept and provide a small deposit (typically $100-$200, applied toward your total). Once booked, your shipment is assigned to a dedicated dispatcher who handles everything from there.

We match your vehicle with one of our vetted carrier partners whose route aligns with your timing and location — never random or "cheapest available." Every carrier in our network is verified for FMCSA authority, current cargo insurance, and clean safety records.

Step 3 · Day 1-7

Vehicle Pickup

The assigned driver contacts you 24 hours before pickup to confirm an arrival window. At pickup, you (or a designated representative 18+ with photo ID) meet the driver at your address. Together, you inspect the vehicle and document its condition in detail.

Both parties sign a Bill of Lading — the legal document recording the vehicle's exact condition at pickup. This is your protection if anything happens during transit.

Step 4 · In Transit

In-Transit Updates

Your vehicle is loaded onto the carrier and secured with industry-standard wheel chocks and soft straps. Your dispatcher keeps you informed throughout the journey — you can call, text, or email for status updates anytime. We don't disappear once the truck rolls.

Most shipments complete on schedule. If weather, road closures, or mechanical issues cause delays, you'll hear from us immediately — not from a missed delivery window.

Typical transit times In-state Alabama: 1-3 days · Regional Southeast: 2-4 days · Cross-country: 7-10 days
Status updates Anytime via phone, text, or email · Proactive alerts on delays

Step 5 · Delivery Day

Delivery & Final Inspection

The driver contacts you before arrival at the destination. You meet at the agreed delivery location, inspect the vehicle thoroughly, and sign the final Bill of Lading confirming it arrived in the same condition it left. The keys are back in your hand, and your shipment is complete.

Payment of the remaining balance is collected on delivery (typically by cashier's check or cash to the driver), unless you've prepaid in full upfront. No surprise charges. No fees revealed at delivery — the quote you accepted is the final price.

Common Questions

Quick Answers Before You Book

How long does auto transport take?

Transit time depends on distance. Here are realistic windows:

  • In-state Alabama: 1-2 days
  • Regional Southeast: 2-4 days
  • Mid-distance (TX, NC, VA, OH): 3-6 days
  • Cross-country: 7-10 days

What does it cost?

Auto transport cost depends on six factors: distance, vehicle size, route popularity, time of year, pickup flexibility, and transport type. Realistic price ranges:

  • Short routes: $400-$700
  • Mid-distance: $700-$1,000
  • Cross-country: $1,000-$1,800

How should I prepare my vehicle?

A little prep makes shipping smoother:

  • Wash the car so existing damage is visible
  • Take dated photos from all angles
  • Remove personal items (above the window line especially)
  • Reduce gas to a quarter tank
  • Disable aftermarket alarms
  • Provide two sets of keys if possible

What if something goes wrong?

Auto transport damage is rare with vetted carriers — well under 1% of shipments. But if anything happens, you're protected:

  • Every carrier maintains active cargo insurance
  • If damage occurs, document on the Bill of Lading immediately
  • Your dispatcher walks you through the claim process
  • We don't disappear after delivery
