These vehicles are loaded and secured differently from cars. A quad is light enough to ride in a small space on an open trailer or inside an enclosed one. A four-seat side-by-side is as long as a small pickup and can be more than six feet wide. Each is strapped down by the wheels or the frame so the suspension cannot bounce it loose, and several machines can travel together.

Off-road vehicles are quoted individually. A single ATV usually costs less to ship than a car, because it takes little space. A large side-by-side takes about as much room as a small car and is priced closer to one.
Shipping two or more machines together lowers the cost of each. Enclosed transport costs more than open. A machine that does not run can still be shipped, and the carrier will need a winch or extra hands to load it.

How to Prepare an ATV or UTV for Shipping
These machines are simple to prepare, and a few details make a noticeable difference.
Wash it. Mud hides damage and adds weight. A clean machine can be inspected properly, and some carriers will not load one that is caked in dirt.
Photograph it from every side, including the plastics, the cage, the wheels, the bed, and the hour meter or odometer.
Lower the fuel to about a quarter of a tank and check that the cap seals. Fix any fuel or oil leaks, or tell us about them.
Check the tires and the battery. Low-pressure tires that are soft will let the machine shift under its straps, so set them to the recommended pressure. Make sure the machine starts, or tell us that it does not.
Remove what can come off. Take out coolers, gun racks, tool bags, loose cargo, and anything in the bed. Remove or fold whip antennas and flags. Take off soft doors, soft roofs, and clip-on windshields, which can tear away at highway speed. A hard roof and a fixed windshield may stay.
Give us the true dimensions. Aftermarket long-travel suspension, wide wheels, and portal lifts can add many inches to the width and height. Measure the overall width at the tires and the overall height, and tell us about any cab enclosure, light bar, or spare tire carrier.
Set the machine for transport. Put it in park or in gear, set the parking brake, and turn off the key. For an electric model, switch off the main power.
Gather the paperwork. The carrier does not need a title. If you are buying, ask the seller for a bill of sale and the certificate of origin or title, and have those mailed to you.
Tell us where the machine is kept. A shed at the end of a muddy lane may mean meeting on the nearest paved road.

How much does it cost to ship an ATV or UTV?

Can you ship more than one machine?
Yes. Several machines from one address can travel together, and the price for each is lower than shipping them separately.
How is a side-by-side secured?
With straps over or through the wheels, or with tie-downs at the frame. The aim is to hold the machine down against its suspension so it cannot bounce or shift.
Does the machine have to run?
No. Tell us if it does not, so the carrier comes prepared to winch or push it on.
Can I leave the windshield, roof, or doors on?
Hard roofs and fixed windshields can usually stay. Soft tops, soft doors, and clip-on windshields should come off, since they can be torn loose on the highway.
Do you need the title?
No. The carrier needs the key and someone to release the machine. If you are buying it, have the seller send the ownership documents to you separately.
Can you pick up from a dealership?
Yes. Give us the dealer's details. We collect the machine once it is paid for and released.
Should I ship it open or enclosed?
Open transport suits most used machines. For a new or expensive one, enclosed transport keeps it clean and protected.
Can you deliver to a hunting camp or a rural property?
Yes. The driver may ask to meet on the nearest paved road if the access is narrow or soft.
How long does shipping take?
Transit times are similar to those for cars: 1 to 3 days under 500 miles, 3 to 5 days up to 1,500 miles, and 7 to 10 days cross-country, after the machine is picked up.
Can you ship a machine I bought online or at an auction?
Yes. Give us the seller's or the auction's details and any lot or release number. We schedule pickup with them and deliver to your address, so you never have to make the trip.
Can you ship an electric UTV?
Yes. Switch off the main power, leave the battery partly charged, and include the charger. Electric models are heavier than they look, so tell us the model.
Is there a deposit?
No. You pay on delivery, and the price matches your quote.
